PARKING & TRAFFIC TECHNOLOGIES, SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH is an advanced, cost effective system designed for mobile car park management and enforcement. SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH is a mobile, automatic number plate recognition system designed to be integrated into patrol vans for policing car parks, commercial premises and roadside or street parking. For installation, the ANPR camera is mounted either outside the van or, for covert operation, within the vehicle itself. The camera has integrated IR lighting allowing the system to operate both day and night. SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH includes a dash mounted tablet pc with touch-screen and may be powered for the vehicle’s battery.

SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH is designed for ease of use. The patrol van drives around a given car park and the system reads and records the vehicle license plates of each vehicle on site. This is significantly faster and more cost effective than having operators record each vehicle license plates by hand or having dedicated fixed ANPR cameras mounted at the entrance and exit points. The vehicle plate number, date, time, image and location are stored in a central database for processing. SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH will identify vehicles which have stayed longer than the permitted time allowed on site. Staff vehicle and permit holder lists can be loaded into to system over GPRS permitting the system to operate on live information. Included with the system is a set of management and site specific customer reports detailing the number of vehicles recorded, date and time information, site location and number of offenders caught.

SMARTREG™ AUTOWATCH has proven to be very effective at freeing up car park spaces particularly in open car facilities or at shopping sites where parking time limit restrictions apply.
